Description
As a business developer within the Welfare and Leisure City Area, you will play a central role in strengthening and developing the department's work for children, youth, and residents in the city area together with managers and employees.
You will support several units, with a particular focus on the Promotion and Prevention unit – where the Field Group, Health Tech, School as Arena, and Association Support together contribute to early, accessible, and relationship-building interventions.
Responsibilities
Your mission is to create conditions for sustainable business development. You contribute with structure, analysis, and direction, but also with engagement, inspiration, and curiosity. In close collaboration with managers and colleagues, you turn goals, needs, and ideas into concrete working methods that make a difference in everyday life – both for employees and for those we serve.
In this role, you will:
- drive and coordinate development work within the promotion and prevention area, from idea to implementation and follow-up
- be a qualified support to managers in planning, analysis, and management-related issues
- contribute to developing common working methods, processes, and procedures that strengthen quality, equity, and collaboration
- lead workshops, dialogues, and other learning forums where employees' experiences are utilized and development is created together
- work with follow-up, analysis, and documentation that provides useful decision-making bases and contributes to learning, among other things through the city's system support
- monitor the external environment and introduce current knowledge, new perspectives, and good examples into the operations
- strengthen collaboration both within the department and with other actors such as schools, civil society, and other parts of the city.
Your working hours are mainly during the day, but some evening and weekend work may occur to meet the needs of the operation.
Do you share our ambition to develop operations that make a difference for children and youth? Welcome with your application.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent academic education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You should have good experience in developing and improving working methods, processes, or methods. We also expect you to have experience working with children and youth aged 10-20 years.
You see opportunities for change and create situations where new ideas and proposals can be developed. You motivate others and describe changes pedagogically, as well as handle criticism of change in a constructive manner.
You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and create conditions for development to occur. You identify strengths and uplift employees, but also ask questions that allow for reflection on one's own work. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.
You can see your work as part of a larger context and have a good ability to collaborate with others to create value. You understand the common mission and can adapt others' ideas to your own operations.
You can effectively identify and analyze the core of a problem and propose possible solutions. You have the ability to see connections and can draw logical conclusions from limited and/or complex information.
